Okay so you may be asking yourself how this real estate piece came about. Well, I love to analyze, negotiate, market, and problem solve. I love people, talking to them and listening to them. I’m a pretty enthusiastic person with a good amount of energy… and both my Mom and my Grandmother were realtors, so I guess you can say it’s in my blood? I proudly work for my Mom’s brokerage, Stone Properties, named after my Grandmother’s maiden name, Stone.
Additionally, my husband served as an active duty officer in the Unites States Air Force for ten years before joining the Virginia Air National Guard. I have many of years of experience with military moves and all that it entails. I wanted to be able to help people settle into new homes just as I had been helped with each of our moves.
I started using “The Running Realtor” name because I love some good alliteration, and it’s accurate. Almost every day I put in the miles to achieve my running goals and put in the time to help people achieve their home goals. One minute I’m doing mile repeats on the track and the next minute I am committed to going the “extra mile” around town for a client.
The “town” I just referred to is Richmond. The capital of my home state, Virginia. A beautiful city where I feel lucky to live now. I have run almost every mile of trails in this city and can offer expert advice on running/walking communities, local parks and trails, local organizations, and upcoming events. If you are from Northern Virginia or happen to venture up that way, I specialize in that area too as I lived there for the first three decades of my life! I make my way back up to NoVa and DC quite a bit, one reason being that I am a member of the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run committee.
The pursuit of knowledge and excellence as a realtor has been so enjoyable. I am a member of the Northern Virginia Board of Realtor, the Richmond Association of Realtors, Virginia Board of Realtors, and the National Board of Realtors. Most importantly, I’ve been able to meet some incredible people along the way. I look forward to seeing where the real estate journey takes me in the future.
